You have probably heard that our bodies are 60% water and that we need water to survive.
There are a lot of theories out there on how much water you should be drinking per day. Some say you should be drinking half an ounce to an ounce of water for each pound you weigh. Others say, just a straight-eight 8 oz. glasses of water per day. But, truth be told, not all of us like the taste of plain water.
The thing is our body NEEDS hydration! Water helps reduce inflammation, aids in digestion, and supports weight loss. So, today, we bring you a fun way of increasing your water intake and, at the same time, pamper your body, your taste buds, and your immune system.
One of my favorite things this time of year is not only to drink more water but to detox at the same time by adding a few simple targeted ingredients to my water.
You have probably heard of DETOX WATERS before (maybe you have even looked for some recipes on Pinterest too. I do it too. I'm trying out a new recipe every day). Detox waters help your body by flushing out toxins and cleansing your liver. And they are super simple to make.
Today I bring you a lovely, fresh, vegan-friendly, no sugar, low carb, gluten-free, keto-friendly, summer-friendly recipe :D. This Lemon & Lime Recipe makes it easy to increase your water intake, lose weight, and support your immune system. It takes only minutes to make and tastes amazing.
Friendly reminder: Always use fresh lemons & limes, not artificial juice. Wash fresh lemons & limes thoroughly to remove pesticides, dirt, and wax. Drinking this lemon water consistently throughout the day, you will notice a significant difference. To make the drink as healthy as possible used filtered water and organic lemons. You can also use unflavored sparkling water as an alternative. Don't add any sugar or artificial sweeteners.
Enjoy!
